Has anyone done postpartum-specific support training or book reading that you recommend? There’s a teen girl at my church soon to graduate high school and looking at options for the future, and she is interested in postpartum doula work, which I haven’t done much specifically so looking for resources to point her to (bonus if it’s Christian and not new-aged, harder to come by I know!). I loved HJ and will list it as an option for her but wanting to include others too. I have The First Forty Days, Nourishing Traditions of Baby & Child Care, and The Fourth Trimester as books for her to borrow, any other recs?

I recall a while back reading an article on sister birth titled something like: "Do I need to hire a Christian midwife" that was about discerning spiritual alignment especially when choices are limited. I tried searching for it and couldn't find it. If anyone could point me to that I'd appreciate it! Anyway, I would be interested in this topic but within the midwife/ apprentice relationship. What are y'all's thoughts on spiritual alignment for choosing a midwife to apprentice under or working with a student midwife or partner midwife? Thought it would make a good topic for a future podcast or newsletter, and am also interested in everyone's thoughts!
